My Dogs and Me

I currently share my home with six dogs; Jammy, Pepper , Beanie & Sprout  working cockers, Polly a rescue spaniel and Elfie a collie/retriever mix .

Each of them have, or have had a job or purpose. My primary focus on the whole is working gundog training, but we have had a bash at agility, competitive obedience, flyball, scentwork and various other activities.

Before anything else, I train them to be enjoyable pet dogs. Recall, leash walking, social skills...that sort of thing. They all live indoors yet enjoy doing what they were bred for.

My first cocker Sweep came  with bags of attitude and instilled a long lasting soft spot for dogs who think they know best.

Why Choose Me?

I have worked with animals my entire life; leading to me creating Central Bark in  2012  a daycare and training centre I opened in partnership with a friend.

Late in 2019 I decided it was time to fly solo, having moved to a new property with perfect facilities for dog training!

I have gained over 70,000 hours of hands on experience with dogs and the ability to  read  and understand canine body language. In addition to this I have  worked with hundreds of clients demonstrating a wide variety of issues, both through training classes and private work

I am an ADTB Gold Instructor, GODT member, Gundog Club Instructor and a student with the ISCP.

I continuously train and learn with my own dogs, seeking additional support from field experts when needed. Nobody knows everything and the more

My training aims/goals for clients are to primarily create a harmonious relationship between dog and owner and to make sure that living with, walking or working your dog is an enjoyable experience.

I adore seeing just how far dogs can go with their training and enjoy activities that were never thought possible.

No matter how ingrained the behaviour or how shocking you think is there are always improvements that can be made. Many trainers, myself included have personal experience of struggling with a dog of their own, making human/handler errors therefore I am not here to judge but to help you create a happy life with your dog, whatever their age or breed.
