Let me help you with the new addition to your family ...........

Getting a new puppy is one of the most enjoyable experiences but it can be overwhelming and daunting at times. There is so much information out there  with so many varying methods and opinions on 'the right way to do things'. The truth is, each puppy is different and each family is different, so lets find they way that works for you!

 Puppy 1-2-1

During the session I aim to cover the following topics but I am completely flexible and will tailor the session to suit you.  â€‹

·Crate Training        Toilet Training·        Isolation Distress        Feeding      Mouthing       Teething      Handling      Collar and Leash Intro·           Socialisation·        Desensitisation·

The most important thing we will address is motivation and engagement, we want pups to 'want' to learn and 'want' to be with us.

Pups can visit for a session as soon as they are vaccinated, prior to this, book a puppy  call  for help at home.

Private Puppy Sessions

Just you, me and your puppy.

Following the  initial assessment session many clients opt to continue with 1-1 in person puppy training.

Your pup has plenty of potential to learn and to understand you, my techniques will lay the foundation for you to build upon. I combine your needs and wants with the natural attributes of your puppy.  If you have chosen a working breed such as a spaniel to keep up with an active  /outdoor lifestyle it is particularly important to get good foundations in place to ensure you can have enjoyable stress free walks ( see also  pet gundog page).

Sessions are tailored to your requirements but typically cover the following:

Loose Leash walking    Follow Me!    Motivation   Games

Early positions (sit, down, heel)   Recall   Desensitisation/Social Skills

Troubleshooting (stop undesired behaviours) and developing gundog skills ( where applicable)

Puppy Classes and Workshops

Puppy School

Puppy training and socialisation workshops are designed to help produce well mannered, sociable young dogs. They are  aimed at pups from second vaccination up to 6 months.

Workshops are split into short training activities and motivation/socialisation exercises. Outdoor training means your puppy can gain some real life experiences as well as making new friends.

We cover the same aspects of training as in private sessions, but with the added aspect of a small social group, andd of course more puppies!

Session are usually held monthly

For older puppies, their are a few skills specific workshops with no upper age limit. These can be viewed below or on the Group Training page.
